A WOMAN was found with leg injuries after potentially falling or being knocked down by a car in Bradford on Avon on Sunday (Sept 15).

Shortly after 8pm, the woman, who is in her 50s, was found by a passer-by on Bath Road, near to the junction with Berryfield Road.

She had suffered leg injuries and was taken to the Royal United Hospital, where she is now recovering.

PC Ellie Porter, from Wiltshire West Community Policing Team, said: “The woman was wearing dark clothing and boots, and using two walking sticks.

“At this stage of our enquiries we are not yet sure if she had fallen in the road or if she may have been struck by a vehicle.

“The woman herself cannot remember what happened so we are appealing for witnesses to help us.

“Did you see the woman walking along the road, or did you witness how she came to be in the road? Do you have dash cam footage which could assist us?”
