A CHEQUE for over £11,000 was presented to CLIC Sargent in their shop in Trowbridge on Wednesday.
The Trowbridge and district metal detecting club held a metal detecting rally weekend in September, which raised the funds.
Treasurer Ray Case and his daughter Anna decided to raise for CLIC following his grandson Luke’s diagnosis of Leukaemia.
Charities Starlight Children’s Foundation and the RUH Forever Friends Appeal also benefitted from the fundraising.
Each charity has received £11,330.
Mr Case said: "The event went ahead this September and we had over 650 detectorists from all over the world, including USA, and Australia taking part. Again it was a great success and we have been able to give all 3 charities cheques for £11,330. which we were really pleased with."
