A PUBLIC meeting is being held in Westbury to discuss local road and rail transport issues, including A350 congestion.
The meeting on Wednesday, November 6 has been organised by the BA13+ Community Area Partnership.
It will be held at Westbury Town Council's offices at The Laverton on Bratton Road starting at 7pm.
Organiser Paul McMullen, the BA13+ Partnership coordinator, said: "It will include the issue of traffic congestion on the A350 Warminster Road and other routes and the potential for a bypass.
Other items for discussion include improving, enhancing, and increasing the availability of cycle routes in and around Westbury and ways to encourage effective use of Westbury Railway Station and local bus services.
Guest speakers include Adam Oakley from Connecting Chapmanslade, a group of cycling enthusiasts from the village who are hoping to create a cycle path which connects the towns of Frome, Westbury and Warminster.
Graham Ellis, from TravelWatch South West, which promotes the interests of users and potential users of public transport across the region, will also speak.
