PATIENTS at a hospice will not be short of entertainment after a helper group from Malmesbury bought ten new flatscreen TVs for the home.
Malmesbury League of Friends bought the televisions, to be installed in patients’ bedrooms, as part of Dorothy House's Katie's Wish List Appeal.
This list appeal was the idea of Katie Anderson who works at the Winsley hospice. The list included special reclining chairs, bedside cabinets and televisions.
Phillippa Watson, philanthropy manager at Dorothy House, said: “MLOF has been a wonderful supporter of Dorothy House for many years and we are again incredibly grateful for their most recent donation.
We were of course delighted with the overall response to the Katie’s Wish List appeal.”
MLOF chairman David Hide said: “ We are always happy to support Dorothy House, which provides such wonderful care for its patients, many of whom come from the Malmesbury area.”
