A FOOTBALL club in Melksham will be wearing new tracksuits this season, thanks to a local donation.

Melksham Town Football Club received 25 new tracksuits from Bellway a housebuilder, which has sponsored the first team.

The housebuilder is building a selection of two, three and four-bedroom homes at Bowood View, off Semington Road, Melksham, just across town from the team’s home ground at Oakfield.

Darren Perrin, chairman at Melksham Town FC said: : “We are really grateful to have received this generous donation from Bellway and the players are really pleased with the tracksuits.

“The club has been around since 1876 and has been a huge part of the community here for many years now.

“The amount of support we receive from local people and businesses is amazing and these donations make such a big difference to the team.”

Rachel Way, Sales Manager for Bellway South West, said: “We are really pleased to be supporting Melksham town’s thriving football club.

“The club plays a key role in the community here, and we are thrilled to be able to provide them with this new kit.”

Bellway retained its five-star builder status with the Home Builders Federation earlier this year. The status was achieved after more than nine in ten customers responded to the HBF’s National New Customer Satisfaction Survey said they would recommend Bellway to a friend.

House-hunters can also explore the three-bedroom Shipton and four-bedroom Wroughton showhomes which are now open at this popular development.
