A PEDESTRIAN was killed when they were struck by a lorry on the M4 near Slough this morning.

Thames Valley Police has appealed for information after the fatality between junctions five and six on the westbound carriageway at around 3.45am.

The road was closed for almost five hours.

A Thames Valley Police spokesman said: “A heavy goods vehicle was in collision with a pedestrian between the hard shoulder and lane one. Sadly, the pedestrian has subsequently died.

“The victim is yet to be identified. Work is ongoing to do so and notify next of kin.”

Anybody who witnessed the crash should call 101 and ask to speak to Thames Valley Police.
