Shopper's purse nicked
A WOMAN's purse containing £237 in cash, bank cards and three rings was stolen at The Shires Shopping Centre in Trowbridge last Friday (November 15).
The elderly woman was in Halifax building society's premises when the mid-morning theft took place.
Police later issued a plea to shoppers to be aware of their surroundings and keep valuables out of sight in public places.
They added: "Avoid carrying valuables or large amounts of cash and spread your possessions about."
