TROWBRIDGE’S Mayor has joined the board of the Trowbridge Town Hall Trust, after supporting them informally for several months. Cllr David Cavill has joined the group of volunteers who run the Town Hall.
Cllr Cavil shared the news with his colleagues at a town council meeting on Tuesday evening.
He said: “This is something I have personally agreed to do, rather than as a delegate or a member of the town council.
“I was delighted to be invited to join the board of trustees.”
Following its AGM in October, the Trust is now looking for more members to join the board, looking for people willing to attend meetings and help make decisions, especially those with knowledge of heritage conservation and community engagement as it prepares to move on its ultimategoasl of restoring the Great hall in the historic building
