SEVEN bikers were stopped at Hengistbury Head after residents told police of 'anti-social behaviour' at the beauty spot.

Officers from the Bournemouth East Neighbourhood Policing Team went on patrol in the area after attending a residents' association meeting last week.

Those living nearby had told a PCSO during the meeting that motorbikes were "a problem" at Solent Meads and in the surrounding area.

A spokesperson from the team said: "Following a call from a member of the public late on Wednesday, November 20, a sergeant and two PCs immediately attended.

"They found between six and seven bikes by the train end of the Broadway.

"No one was riding at the time but all were spoken to and words of advice were given in this instance.

"We will continue to monitor the situation and do welcome the continued and valued support from the local community."
