IT'S the zoo that every animal-loving child wants to visit and now with the new interactive supersized brick adventure, it's set to become more popular than ever.

Marwell Zoo in Hampshire has announced that it will soon be home to dozens of new species, as it becomes the first attraction in the world to host a brand new collection of supersized toy brick creatures in 2020.

Up to 40 giant models of real life creatures and bugs will be scattered across the zoo, such as a three meter tarantula, a two meter cobra and many more.

Sean Mannie, Commercial Director at Marwell Wildlife, said: “This year’s event will be more interactive, more immersive and even more colourful, plus, there’ll be lots of fun and informative facts, making it educational too.

“Our aim is to entertain, whilst also debunking prejudicial stereotypes, particularly given so many species become rare or under threat because they are misjudged and persecuted.

"Guests will go through a minimising ‘machine’ on arrival so they feel shrunk at the start of their journey and this will be emphasised by over-size props they can interact with.”

Continuing the interactive theme, guests visiting the park will be able to play games, build their own models, create toy brick graffiti and find out more about each creature and how the expert model makers used tiny toy bricks to build the eyes of these huge creatures, by following a trail.

The displays are set to roll out on April 4 next year, with around 30 initial sculptures and more being added through the year until the end of scheme on September 3.

Roughly 2 million bricks will be used in creating the sculptures of the deadly creatures, with more than 10,000 hours of work being put in by professional builders.

The supersized adventure will be included in general admission prices, with Marwell Zoo ticket prices and more information being found by visiting www.marwell.org.uk.
