AN ATTEMPTED rape took place in a busy Middlesbrough pub at the weekend.
The incident, involving a 38-year-old female victim, happened between 10pm and 10.30pm in the Discovery Bar on Newport Road, not far from Captain Cook Square, on Saturday.
A 32-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident and he has been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
