THREE young girls who are taking their first steps on their guiding journey have been presented with the top award available to Rainbows.

Phoebe, Chloe and Matilda who are members of Aldbourne Rainbows were presented with their gold award by county commissioner Liz Radford.

To achieve it the girls had to work on a wide range of interest badges at home and take part in skill and theme awards at their regular meetings.

Wendy Beattie from Aldbourne Guides said: “The gold award is the highest that Rainbows can achieve.

“This is part of the new programme that came in 2018 and they are the first in Marlborough District to be awarded it.

“ They will now continue their Guiding journey with Aldbourne Brownies after Christmas.”
