ALDBOURNE: A planning application was put in to cut down a whitebeam tree at The Paddocks. The inspector decided last Wednesday there would be no objection to these plans.

ALL CANNINGS: A planning application was put in to make changes to a house on Tumlins. It was proposed that an extension is to be built on the side of the house and new french doors fitted. The inspector decided to approve the plans but with conditions.

AVEBURY: Three Chestnut trees are to be cut down on Avebury High Street after an application was put in. The inspector decided there would be no objections to the plan.

BOX: A planning application from March 15 2018 was decided on Friday. A proposal had been submitted to redevelop the timber yard at Real World Studios, Mill Lane, to make space for 20 new homes. The inspector approved the plans with conditions.

BOX: A leylandii tree will be cut down at a house on Hazelbury Hill after the inspector decided there would be no objections to the application.

BRADFORD: Planning permission was sought to fix a new boiler duct onto St Thomas More Church, Market Street. The proposal was approved with conditions by the inspector. Planning permission wouldn’t usually be needed for this but as it is a listed building it was required.

BURBAGE: An application was filed to cut down a horse chestnut tree on the village’s High Street. There were no objections to the plan.

CALNE:A retrospective planning application was put in for a brick outbuilding that was fitted in the garden of a house on Foxglove Way. Permission was given but with conditions.

CALNE: An application was filed to build an extension to the rear of a house on Low Lane. The two storey extension and porch at the front of the house were refused by the inspector.

DERRY HILL: A two-storey extension will be built onto a house on Petty Lane after planning permission was approved, with conditions, by an inspector.

UPPER CASTLE COMBE: Consent was needed for work to be done to the roof of a listed building. An application was put in to re-roof the stone tiles of Fuschia Cottage. Workers also want to re-wire the property as well putting in new central heating. The inspector approved the plans with conditions.

CHIPPENHAM: Goldenley Care Home (pictured), which closed in December 2017, is to be knocked down to make way for six new houses. Permission to demolish the old Forest Lane care home was approved by the inspector.

CHIPPENHAM: Students at Ivy Lane Primary School will be using mobile classrooms while new permanent ones are being fitted in the main school. An inspector approved plans for the outbuildings, with conditions.

CHIPPENHAM: A planning application to build a pair of new two-bedroom homes on the land next to Centurion Close was filed. The inspector decided to refuse permission to allow the building of the houses.

PEWSEY: Two trees will be cut down at Home Farm after the inspector had no objections to the application. The proposer asked for permission to chop down a dead sycamore tree and a live willow tree.

KINGTON LANGLEY: An application was filed to build a new permanent house for agricultural workers on the land next to Henleys, on Days Lane. The inspector approved the plan with the condition that the home can only be occupied by agricultural workers and can’t be sold.

MALMESBURY: An application was put in to build additional parking at the rear gardens of three homes on Bristol Street. The inspector approved the plans with no conditions.

MARKET LAVINGTON: A planning application was put in to install three arrays of 16 solar panels on Homestead Farm, Drove Lane to power the holiday lets Homestead Stables. The inspector approved the plans but with conditions.

MARLBOROUGH: An application was put in to install two condenser units with wooden enclosures in the rear courtyard of a building on London Road. The inspector approved it with conditions.

RAMSBURY: Planning permission was approved to build an extension on a garage on a house on the Paddocks. The extension would be built to make space for an office and workshop.

TROWBRIDGE: An application was filed to build an extension to the elevated rear of a house on Hornbeam Road. They also want to build an orangery roof. The inspector decided to approve the plans with conditions on Friday.
