COMMUTERS have been urged by Great Western Railway to check their timetables in the run up to Christmas and the New Year.
The warning follows major timetable changes coming to local GWR services on Sunday December 15 following improvements to services.
A GWR spokesman said: "Not only will train times be changing, the calling patterns for many services may also be different."
"We are asking everyone to check their journeys and to spread the message about the changes, details are on GWR.com/timetable2019."
As well as the changes from December 15, there will also be a temporary timetable in place while Network Rail work on infrastructure upgrades over Christmas and New Year.
This will affect services from Tuesday, December 24 to Wednesday, January 1 and includes the closure of Paddington station on Tuesday, December 24 and Friday, December 27.
There is more information on GWR.com/Christmas.
