A WOMAN was assaulted by two men in Corsham last night (Wednesday).

The woman, in her 30s, was walking along Park Lane at 10.50pm when she was assaulted by two men who pushed her to the ground. The woman sustained bruising to her legs during the assault.

The first man is described as white, of medium build and aged around 30. He was wearing a hoody and had a goatee.

The second man is described as white, of medium build and younger than the first man. He was also wearing a hoody and had a woolly hat on.

Detective Inspector Tom Straker said: “This was understandably a very frightening incident for the victim, who fortunately, did not suffer any serious physical injury during the incident but is very shaken and upset.

“The incident happened in a fairly residential area so those living nearby should expect to see an increased police presence in the area today as we continue with our investigation which will include extensive house-to-house enquiries.

“We’d like to speak to anyone who was in the area around this time, including anyone who was driving past who may have dash cam footage which could significantly help us identify those involved.”
