TROWBRIDGE Town Council's policy and resources committee is recommending a total budget of £1,962,450 for the next financial year.
The committee met on Tuesday January 14 to consider its budget requirements for 2020/21.
It is recommending to full council a departmental budget requirement of £1,899,950 when it meets next Tuesday January 21.
The committee is recommending a £62,500 contribution to general reserves.
The budget requirements will be funded in part through a community infrastructure levy of £65,500, leaving a net precept requirement of £1,896,950 for 2020/21.
This would result in an increase of £7.60 on the Trowbridge Town Council Band D Council Tax Charge, to £161.58, an increase of less than £3.20 a week.
It will need more cash to fund the management of assets likely to be transferred from Wiltshire Council.
