COUNCILLORS are 'delighted' that a town's resurfacing programme has 'successfully' been completed.
Cllr Andy Dunbobbin and Cllr Paul Shotton, of Connah's Quay, have been pushing for the improvements of road surfaces in their town for a number of years.
Cllr Dunbobbin said: "We are both delighted about how successful the road resurfacing programme has been.
"It was long overdue. We have been pushing the case forward for a number of years and now we are really please and more importantly residents are really pleased with the result.
"We would like to pass our thanks to Cllr Carolyn Thomas and the team there."
Cllr Shotton said residents are particularly pleased in Viking Way and Cooper's Lane.
He added: "I am pleased that the scheme has been completed and the resurfacing in the area is done.
"We have been pushing this for quite a while.
"Due to the cutbacks this is the situation. As and when we get the funding determines when we can do more."
