A pedestrian was taken to hospital in Bristol yesterday evening after an accident in Hungerdown Lane, Chippenham.
The woman received injuries to her neck in the accident which happened just before 6pm near The Pheasant pub.
A police spokesman said: "We were called by the ambulance service just before 6pm yesterday to a collision near the Pheasant pub involving a car and a pedestrian.
"A closure was put in place on Hungerdown Lane at the Queens Crescent junction and the Pheasant roundabout. The pedestrian was suffering pain to her back and was taken to Southmead by ambulance."
The road reopened at about 7.30pm.
