A GOOD Samaritan came to the rescue of a 90-year-old man who was the victim of a distraction theft in Calne.
He had parked at Sainsbury and was approached by a woman who took £100 from his wallet.
After CCTV pictures were put on social media a woman contacted police and offered to make a donation of £100 to the elderly man.
PCSO Mark Cook said: “She wanted her anonymous donation to reassure him that people in Calne really do care about what happens to each other.”
