Storm Dennis hit Swindon and Wiltshire over the weekend - with rainfall and high winds leaving a trail of destruction.

The problems are not over yet. These are all the flood warnings the Environment Agency still has in place for Swindon and Wiltshire.

Swindon - River Cole and Dorcan Brook

Property flooding is not currently expected. River levels remain high but are beginning to fall on the River Cole and Dorcan Brook following Storm Dennis. Therefore, flooding of low-lying land, footpaths and roads is expected to continue, especially in the areas between Watchfield and Inglesham.

Swindon Advertiser:

Royal Wootton Bassett - Upper Bristol Avon Area

River levels are slowly falling at the Great Somerford, Brokenborough and Fosseway river gauges as a result of heavy rainfall associated with Storm Dennis. We believe there is a possibility of flooding for the road at Reybridge.

Chiseldon and Wroughton - Groundwater flooding in the Upper Og Valley

Groundwater levels have been rising in the past couple of days in response to the recent heavy rainfall. Levels remain high at our observation borehole near Draycot Foliat in the Og Valley, and are above normal for this time of year. Groundwater levels will be sensitive to further rainfall. Flooding of low-lying land and roads is possible. Due to the nature of groundwater behaviour, levels could remain high for several weeks or longer. Should groundwater levels increase further, property flooding is possible in the longer term.

Swindon Advertiser:

Flooding on Minety Lane

Highworth and Lechlade - River Thames and its small tributaries from Calcutt to Lechlade

Property flooding is not currently expected. River levels are high but steady on the River Thames and small tributaries following Storm Dennis. Therefore, flooding of low-lying land, footpaths and roads is expected to continue, especially in the areas around Kempsford and Hannington Wick. Further rainfall showers are forecast over the next 12 hours, but rainfall totals are forecast to be low. River levels have peaked and will remain steady, with no further rise forecast.

Cricklade - Tributaries on the Upper River Thames above Cricklade

Property flooding is not currently expected. River levels remain high but are beginning to fall on the Swill Brook / River Key following Storm Dennis. Therefore, flooding of low-lying land, footpaths and roads is expected to continue, especially in the Oaksey area. Further rainfall showers are forecast over the next 12 hours, but rainfall totals are forecast to be low. River levels are falling, but still pose a flood risk. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are operating weirs to reduce flood risk and in the area clearing weed/trash screens.
