PLANS to fell a cherry tree in Heytesbury have fallen foul of the local parish council.
They have objected to plans to take down the tree at Bournefield, Mill Street, Heytesbury, on the grounds it is not diseased and not causing any danger to buildings.
The applicant, Mr Firth, wants to fell the tree because of 'root heave' which normally a problem in clay soil not chalk.
A decision will be made by Wiltshire Council by February 27.
