Chipping Sodbury School has been running a number of sessions for its students with a focus on mental health.

The school ran numerous after school activities during Children’s Mental Health Week.

The sessions included: Yoga, dance, football and self-defence.

A spokesman for the school said: “We have run activities to raise awareness of how young people can develop skills to support their own well-being.

“Firstly, we worked with a UK charity called Living Streets to run the Free Your Feet Challenge, thank you to all the students who took part and congratulations to the winners.

“Our Mental Health Ambassadors have also been running a photography competition, encouraging students to capture scenery or something that makes them happy as they walk to school.

“Finally, we have run a range of fun after school activities to promote positive mental health for our students.”
