Two men were arrested following a drugs raid on a housing estate in Corsham last night

The Community Tasking Team and officers from the neighbourhood team executed the warrant at an address in Katherine Park.

A quantity of cannabis, cash and drug paraphernalia were seized during the raid.

One man, aged in his 20s and from Corsham, was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class B drugs.

A second man, also aged in his 20s and from the Melksham area, was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class B drugs and acquiring/using/possessing criminal property.

Both were taken to Melksham custody and have since been released under investigation while further enquiries are conducted.

Det Con Kev Golledge said: “This is the third drugs warrant to be executed by these teams in Corsham in the past three months and as a result, we have seized thousands of pounds worth of drugs in total as well as a large quantity of cash.

“I hope this is reassuring to the local community that we will take action on information they supply about suspected drugs activity in their area, so please continue to report your concerns as it helps build an intelligence picture so we can plan the most appropriate action to target these individuals.”
