IF YOU feel like a walk and doing something for charity, then join Alzheimer’s Support on its 30th anniversary, for a Walk to Remember.

New chief executive officer for the Alzheimer's charity, Babs Harris, said: “Taking part in our event offers fantastic opportunities to help support people living with dementia right here in Wiltshire.”

The walk is on May 16 and offers a choice of two routes. The first one, Battlesbury Hill, which is 8.5 miles, up and around the historic Battlesbury Camp hill fort, starting from Warminster Park.

The second, Meadow Mile walk, is a shorter route for more suitable children, families and anyone who might find the longer one too far. This walk is both buggy and wheelchair friendly.

Babs added: “We'd love to be able to shut up shop after 30 years but the reality is we are needed more than ever. We know there is more to be done to ensure people living with dementia and their families get the support and care they fully deserve. We are all committed to doing this in the many years to come."
