The Rev Keith Brindle vicar of St James said: "Now is the time to get involved. Please share.

"As Coronavirus (COVID19) takes hold, and more people in Devizes are considering or beginning to isolate, we are establishing a volunteer network to help those who need practical support, such as shopping, collecting meds, running errands, and telephone encouragement.

"We are going live with this service in the next few days, and we need people to volunteer.

"As volunteers, we will be dealing with potentially vulnerable individuals so we are looking to recruit people who can be trusted.

"Therefore, you will need to complete a form, bring along Photo ID (passport/driving licence), proof of address and be prepared to provide a reference. If you are DBS checked, please bring a copy of your certificate."
