THE following people have appeared before magistrates in Swindon and Salisbury:

TROWBRIDGE: Ernestas Bartkus, 23, of The Croft, was jailed for six weeks and told to pay a £122 victim surcharge after admitting using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause a person to believe that immediate unlawful violence would be used in Trowbridge on December 2.

WARMINSTER: Frederick George Weeks, 55, was sent for trial at Swindon Crown Court on April 17. He has indicated not guilty pleas to charges of intentionally communicating with a girl aged under 16 to encourage her to make a communication that was sexual.

He is also charged with intentionally attempting to cause or incite a girl aged under 16 to engage in sexual activity, and with intentionally attempting to cause a child aged 14 to look at an image of a person engaging in sexual activity. All three offences are said to have occurred between February 17 and March 8 in Warminster.

CHIPPENHAM: The court granted an application by Shaun Ryan, 57, of Palmer Street, to amend the electronic curfew requirements of a suspended sentence order made on February 24. The suspended sentence order is now as follows: committed to prison for 18 weeks suspended for two years. He must now comply with a curfew requirement with electronic monitoring for six months, from 6pm to 23.59pm, from February 24 to August 23, to remain at 21 Palmer Street, Chippenham. The curfew will be lifted from 8am on April 14 until 6pm on April 20, and resume afterwards.

TROWBRIDGE: Korbyn Joseph Edwards, 18, of Eagle Park, has been given until August 30 to pay a £985 fine imposed on November 29, 2018.

CALNE: Carl Edward Leese, 27 of Warren Court, has been jailed for 28 days in default of payment of a £575 fine imposed on October 26, 2017. He was already serving a prison sentence.

DEVIZES: a case against Upcycle Waste Management Ltd, of Rowde, has been adjourned to May 18 at Swindon Magistrates Court for non-payment of a £626.67 fine imposed on September 16, 2011.

CHIPPENHAM: Shannon Elaine Graham, 27, of Milbourne Way, has been given a community order. She admitted stealing food and drink items worth £15 from Chippenham Services on October 18 last year. She also admitted dishonestly making off with fuel worth £72.63 on the same date, committing fraud in Devizes on January 9 in that she asked for a refund on an article that she had hidden in her bag, intending to make a gain of £24.98 for herself; and stealing two bottles of Jack Daniels worth £71.40 at Chippenham on January 30.

She was told to comply with a rehabilitation activity requirement, carry out 50 hours of unpaid work over the next 12 months, and pay £199.98 in victim surcharge, costs and compensation by April 6.

ROYAL WOOTTON BASSETT: Nicola Louise Pordage, 53, of Breach Lane, has been conditionally discharged for six months and told to pay a victim surcharge of £21 after she admitted damaging two car wing mirrors and a windscreen on June 12 last year at Royal Wootton Bassett.

She was given until April 2 to pay.

WESTBURY: Jayson Derek Cullen, 34, of Sandalwood Court, has pleased not guilty and been been remanded on conditional bail until July 6 charged with producing a Class B drug, namely cannabis, at Warminster on November 2.

ROYAL WOOTTON BASSETT: A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Matthew Francis Philip Cole, 35, of Orchard Mead. He is charged with assaulting Kieron Moore by beating at Swindon on March 23, 2019.

He pleaded not guilty on November 6, 2019 but was found guilty on February 27.

He is also charged with failing to surrender to custody on March 5 at Swindon and failing to surrender to Swindon Court on March 5, having been released on bail.

CALNE: Stuart Edward Webb, 33, of Low Lane, has been sent to prison for 14 days after admitting failing to comply with the requirements of a post-custodial sentence supervision order.

WESTBURY: Jesse Allen, 18, of Gryphon Close, has to pay £394.40 in fines, costs and compensation, after failing to purchase a ticket for a Great Western Railway train journey from Westbury on October 30.
