THE number of confirmed cases of coronavirus in the Wiltshire Council area is now 110 with a further 44 in Swindon Borough.
Latest figures show nationally the numbers of confirmed cases is on the rise with more than 38,000 people now testing positive across the country.
A total of 3,605 people confirmed to have had the virus have died. In Wiltshire Bromham businessman Ray Cargill, 68, died at home of Covid-19 last weekend. He was not tested for the virus but his family were told two days after his death that the cause was coronavirus with contributing type two diabetes.
The actual number of people with the virus in the UK is estimated to be much higher than figures show. Only people in hospital and some NHS staff are currently being tested.
About 135,000 in the UK have so far been tested and found not to have the virus.
