A MAN accused of swapping vile messages with a paedophile hunter posing as a girl criticised the CPS for the handling of his case.

It came after Judge Peter Crabtree adjourned a case for a week when it emerged the Crown’s papers in the case against Frederick Weeks did not contain the full allegations against the 55-year-old from Warminster.

As the hearing ended, Weeks said: “To me, if the CPS can’t get sorted out properly it’s not my problem. It’s down to them at the end of the day.”

Judge Crabtree said: “I need to know precisely what the crown is alleging against you and at the moment the material’s not on the digital case system, at least in detail.”

Weeks, formerly of Cotswold Close, Warminster, has already pleaded guilty to attempting to incite a girl to engage in sexual activity and attempting to cause a child to look at an image of sexual activity.

He is due before Swindon Crown Court on May 22.
