MARLBOROUGH’S recycling centre opened back up last week - creating long tail backs to the Salisbury Road roundabout.
Wiltshire Council’s Post Code Entry Scheme had Thursday May 21 as the first day that residents from the Marlborough area could visit the site.
However, this week, (from Monday 25) SN8 residents can visit on three of the five open days – Monday, then Friday or Sunday.
Other centres across the county reported long queues. Devizes and Trowbridge, where the queue was reported to be 2.5 hrs long, as locals visited their nearest site on the days allowed.
