STAFF employed by the Frankie & Benny’s restaurant chain in Trowbridge fear they could lose their jobs.
The Restaurant Group, which owns the outlet in St Stephen’s Place, is to close 125 sites nationwide.
It says it is unable to confirm until the end of this month whether the Trowbridge branch will be one of the sites to close.
The group is in financial difficulty and is restructuring its leisure business through a Company Voluntary Arrangement.
This will allow the group to pay off its debts over a period of time.
The company is trying to reduce the rental on 85 sites, while 65 sites will be unaffected by the CVA.
A group spokesman said: “I’m afraid we’re unable to confirm the status of individual sites until the CVA process is complete. The vote is on June 29.”
No Wagamama's branches, including one in Trowbridge, which are also owned by the group, are affected.
