EASTER moved to summer this year for children at a village primary school when surprise packages were delivered to their homes.
Usually the youngsters at Lacock Primary have an Easter treat with an egg hunt in the gardens of a village home owned by Jacques Naylor-Leyland but coronavirus put paid to this year’s event.
But on Friday the youngsters received a special delivery of the eggs that would have been hidden.
Headteacher Richard Hearn said: “As this years’ event was sadly cancelled she kindly donated all the eggs to the school to be sent on to the children.
“Alongside the eggs each child received a craft pack from the school so that they could create something on the theme of bugs, butterflies and flowers.
“Their creations will be collected together at school to make a wall display. Even though we are separated, this is something that can bring us together and help remind us we are still part of the same Lacock community,”
