A YOUNG man has been rescued after fracturing his leg on a coastal path.
The man suffered an "open leg fracture" after falling from his bike onto rocks north of Hythe Marina at around 12.30am last night.
Emergency services scrambled to help the man but could not "extract" him using a boat from Calshot RNLI.
Paramedics worked with coastguard teams from Southampton and Lymington to carry the man to safety using a stretcher.
He was rushed to hospital and rescue teams stood down just after 3am.
No one else was injured during the incident.
