A FAMILY attraction in Poole is the chosen location for a drive-in cinema experience this summer.

German Events Limited are bringing their brand new drive-in cinema experience to Farmer Palmers Farm Park in lieu of the numerous events that were due to take place this year.

With the outbreak Covid-19 resulting in the cancellation of events across the UK, drive-in cinemas are seeing a resurgence in popularity, enabling people across the country to enjoy movies from the comfort and safety of their own vehicles.

A spokesperson for the company's drive-in cinema team said: "We are delighted to be bringing our drive-in cinema to our hometown. We have hosted events in the UK for over 15 years and were devastated to have to cancel this summer’s plans. With the government restrictions now allowing drive-in cinemas to open, we cannot wait to bring some fun and entertainment to our customers."

The drive-in cinema will begin on July 16 with a screening of the 2019 remake of Dumbo.

A variety of other films will be screened, including Footloose, Jurassic Park, Mary Poppins Returns as well as a Grease sing-a-long.

Customers will also be able to buy delicious snacks including popcorn, hot dogs and nachos.
