THE number of recorded coronavirus cases in Wiltshire has increased by three, official figures show.
Public Health England figures show that 1,286 people had been confirmed as testing positive for Covid-19 by 9am on Wednesday in Wiltshire, up from 1,283.
The rate of infection in Wiltshire now stands at 258 cases per 100,000 people, far lower than the England average of 464.
Across the UK, the number of recorded cases increased by 763 to 301,455.
The total number of Covid-19 related deaths rose by 83 on Wednesday to 45,961 across the UK.
Wiltshire's cases were among the 13,193 recorded across the South West, a figure which rose by 49 over the period.
Cumulative case counts include patients who are currently unwell, have recovered and those that have died.
