A Bradford on Avon woman has launched an appeal against a condition placed on her planning permission by Wiltshire Council.

The council originally granted Zoe Balfre of The Old Mill Annex in 33c Market St planning permission in January this year for the installation of five roof lights, a new external flue and the demolition of a single-storey extension.

Now Mrs Balfre is appealing a condition placed on her application which would mean those roof lights would need to be installed with obscuring glass and would need to remain shut ‘to a height of no less than 1.7m above the finished first-floor level’.

In the decision notice, the planning officer noted that this condition was to maintain ‘residential amenity and privacy’.

Planning Inspector, Jasmine Rogers will handle the appeal and anyone wishing it make comment on the appeal must do so by Monday, October 5 2020.Photo courtesy of Wiltshire Health and Care 2020
