The number of recorded coronavirus cases in Wiltshire has increased by 21 since Friday, official figures show.

Public Health England figures show that 1,443 people had been confirmed as testing positive for Covid-19 as of Sunday, September 6 in Wiltshire, up from 1,422 on Friday.

The rate of infection in Wiltshire now stands at 288.6 cases per 100,000 people, far lower than the England average of 532.4.

Across the UK, the number of recorded cases increased by 4,801 over the period, to 347,152.

Wiltshire's cases were among the 15,094 recorded across the South West, a figure which rose by 159 over the period.
