The number of recorded coronavirus cases in Wiltshire increased by 8 over the weekend, official figures show.

Public Health England figures show that 1,511 people had been confirmed as testing positive for Covid-19 on Sunday, September 13 in Wiltshire, up from 1,503 on Friday.

The rate of infection in Wiltshire now stands at 302 cases per 100,000 people, far lower than the England average of 565.

Across the UK, the number of recorded cases increased by 6,827 over the period, to 368,504.

Wiltshire's cases were among the 15,810 recorded across the South West, a figure which rose by 180 over the period.

Cumulative case counts include patients who are currently unwell, have recovered and those that have died.
