A MAN who texted his ex pretending to be a policeman was warned he could be jailed.

Jordan Hunt, 23, admitted bombarding his former partner with unwanted texts and calls, using threatening words or behaviour and impersonating a police officer.

Bailing the Tidworth man and ordering a pre-sentence report, District Judge Joanna Dickens described the harassment allegation as “one of the most serious I have seen in a long time”.

She told Hunt: “What you have admitted doing is incredibly serious. There’s a possibility hearing in mind that you’ve also impersonated a police officer in really horrible circumstances in very manipulative ways, one of the options the court could do is send you to prison.”

Appearing before Swindon Magistrates’ Court on Monday afternoon, Hunt, of Bulford Road, Tidworth, pleaded guilty to harassment, threatening behaviour and impersonating a police officer.

He was bailed to return to court for sentence on October 23.

His bail conditions prevent him from contacting his victim.

Ben Worthington appeared for the Crown Prosecution Service. Hunt was represented by William Griffiths.
