A bus stop has been destroyed after a car smashed into it and flipped onto its roof.
Fire services were called to the incident on Popley Way, Basingstoke at 11.28 last night.
The car crashed into the bus stop completely destroying it and flipping the car onto its roof.
Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service said that a lamp post was also damaged by the vehicle.
A statement by the fire service read: "The occupants were lucky not to have ended up in the subway - the bus stop, now totally destroyed altered their direction of travel."
Police and the Ambulance service were reportedly also in attendance.
