This is the moment a dangerous driver launched his Ford estate into the air as he tried to get away from police.

Kai Sawyer was on bail when he made of from police in Bradford-on-Avon, leading officers on a 10 minute chase that Swindon judge Peter Crabtree said was one of the worst pieces of dangerous driving he’d seen.

Jailing the 23-year-old for 14 months, Judge Crabtree said it was a miracle no one had been injured.

Footage from the police car’s dashcam showed Sawyer’s Ford Focus estate speeding down roads, failing to stop at blind corners, driving on the wrong side of the road and finally smashing through a sports field’s gates and driving across a playing field.
