THE closure date for Sainsbury’s at the Brunel Shopping Centre has been revealed.
A spokesperson for the supermarket chain told the Adver the store will shut in less than a month's time – on Saturday, November 14.
They added: “We have updated colleagues on the difficult decision to close our Swindon superstore in November.
"We are doing everything we can to find alternative roles within Sainsbury’s for those affected.
“Decisions to close a store are not taken lightly and we understand this will be an unsettling time for those affected and we’re supporting them in any way we can.”
The closure is part of a nationwide campaign from the company to shut up to 15 supermarkets over the next two years but also opening 10 new ones over the next five years.
