Detectives investigating a spate of arson attacks in Chippenham are "urgently" seeking a 31-year-old man who could assist with their enquiries.

In the early hours of Sunday morning (October 18), officers attended a series of incidents in the town.

The first incident took place in Chelwood Close shortly after 1.30am, where a black Honda Civic was found completely destroyed after it had been set alight.

At approximately 2.10am, a bin store at a block of flats in Rudman Park was also set on fire.

Shortly after this, a bus parked at the Olympiad Leisure Centre on Sadlers Mead was destroyed by fire.

Wiltshire Police believe all three incidents are linked and would "urgently like to speak" with Christopher Cleverley to assist us in their enquiries.

Cleverley, 31, is local to the area.

He is described as approximately 5 ft 6 inches tall, of slim build with mousey coloured hair and blue eyes.

A police spokeswoman said: "We’d urge anyone with information about Cleverley’s whereabouts to call police immediately on 999 and quote crime reference number 54200104692.

"Please give as much detail as possible including his direction of travel."
