A HOLT man will stand trial accused of attacking another outside a Trowbridge toy shop.
Appearing before Swindon Crown Court on Friday, Joshua James, 24, of Green Close, Holt, pleaded not guilty to a charge of wounding with intent but guilty to a lesser charge of causing grievous bodily harm.
Recorder Gordon Bebb QC remanded him in custody for the trial on February 8. It is anticipated the trial will last two to three days.
James is said to have attacked the complainant, a man in his 20s, around 15 minutes after pub closing time on Saturday, September 26.
The alleged victim was said to have been knocked out in Castle Street, near The Toy Shop, at around 10.15pm.
He suffered a number of injuries, including to his face.
