A Trowbridge hairdresser is posting notices warning customers he will be shut from Thursday after Saturday’s announcement that non-essential businesses are to shut in England.
Nigel Evan of Nigel’s Hair Design has put up notices today (Monday) telling customers that his Duke Street salon is open every day until Thursday – when lockdown comes into force.
His salon is normally shut on a Monday, but due to impending lockdown, Mr Evans has opened his doors in hopes customers can get a haircut before he is forced to close until December.
“Most things can be bought online these days, but a haircut is not something you can order on the website, so I have opened up today,” he said.
“Last time we had queues outside hairdresser shops as soon as the lockdown was relaxed as guys had not realised hairdressers were closed.
“I have posted notices advising people that I will be forced to close under government guidelines and people can get a trim before the shutters went up.”
