Squeeky at Home, championing zero-waste, naturally sourced, organic and plant-based homeware products, opened its very first shop at Emery Gate Shopping Centre this week.

Established in 2016 by Claire Nicholas, Squeeky at Home started as an online business in an effort to reduce plastic pollution and create chemical-free cleaning products.

Claire explained: “This fantastic opportunity with Emery Gate helps us spread the word to so many local people about what eco-friendly alternatives, which are often more cost-effective, are out there. We go to great lengths to source as many products locally, as we believe in the kindness economy that benefits not just ourselves but many other businesses in Wiltshire.

"I’m inspired by the founder of The Body Shop, Dame Anita Roddick, and hope to follow in her footsteps with ambitions to take our message well beyond Wiltshire with many more stores planned in the future.”

Emily Burton, marketing acquisitions lead for Emery Gate Shopping Centre, on behalf of its landlords Eagle One, added: “The move towards plastic-free, zero-waste shopping has been growing rapidly over the last few years as shoppers are becoming increasingly mindful of the impact that their choices have on the environment.

"We are so happy to partner with Squeeky at Home in their exciting transition from clicks to bricks here in the heart of Chippenham; another fantastic independent business joining us all part of our commitment to helping small local businesses flourish.”
