TROWBRIDGE Police have welcomed four new community support officers to the neighbourhood team.

All have successfully completed their training and are now out patrolling the town’s streets.

They are PCSOs Tom Storm covering Studley/Broadmead, Robyn Dentry covering College/Drynham, Sophie Piper covering Seymour/Adcroft and Castlemead and Kerena Walters covering the town centre.

Cllr Stewart Palmen, the leader of Trowbridge Town Council and a Wiltshire councillor for Trowbridge Central ward, said: "I am really pleased to welcome them to Trowbridge and look forward to seeing them out on the streets."

Cllr Antonio Piazza, the Tory Group leader on Trowbridge Town Council and the member for Drynham ward, also welcomed the PCSOs, saying: "Hopefully, they will be able to help out with a few issues that we have, such as speeding and anti-social behaviour."

Police said: “The officers are keen to get involved and assist with any issues around crime and anti-social behaviour you are facing in your community, so please get in contact via 101 or our online reporting tool if you have any concerns.”
