Firefighters were called to a house fire on Victoria Road, Warminster, this morning.
Nearby residents reported seeing heavy smoke throughout the street and have since praised the response of fire units.
A spokeswoman from Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "We were called at 04.35am this morning to a domestic fire on Victoria Road, Warminster.
"Firefighters removed a lady from the property – two breathing apparatus wearers used two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire and left the casualty in the care of the ambulance crew.
"The stop came at 05:27am."
Two crews from Warminster were in attendance alongside a unit from Westbury.
The South Western Ambulance Trust has been contacted for comment.
