YOUNG people with amazing ideas for innovative and exciting new projects are being offered the chance to turn these ideas into reality.

Trowbridge Town Hall Trust which runs the historic Town Hall in Market Street is offering space, support and up to £,1000, thanks to funding from Sovereign Housing.

Project lead Harriet Wyatt said: “Are you aged 18 to 25? Do you have an idea for an innovative business, a community project or a creative event?

“Perhaps you dream of running a vintage clothes market, launching a vegan cake company, or hosting a music festival? We can help make it happen.”

She added: “We are aiming to have 250 conversations with 18-25 year olds in the Trowbridge area.

“We’ll hear their ideas and then help to realise them, which can include using space in our iconic building at the heart of the town.”

David Lockwood, director of the Town Hall Trust, said: “I can’t wait to hear what ideas come back. As someone who started projects and a business in my 20s, I know how daunting and exciting the early days can be. I hope we can support as many of these ideas as possible.”

Spread over four floors, the Victorian town hall is full of beautiful and unusual spaces, some of which have been renovated and refurbished as part of a modernisation scheme.

The foyer already houses the Free Range Cafe and two independent shops: We Are Undressed, Trowbridge’s first zero waste shop, and Trust’s own art and book shop.
