HUNDREDS of households in Westwood near Bradford on Avon will be affected by plans to close four key roads into a housing estate for resurfacing works.
The Wiltshire Council order will come into effect for four days from April 6-9 between 9am and 4pm when the road will be temporarily closed to all traffic:
It will affect Leslie Rise from its junction with Bobbin Lane for its entire length; Tynings Way from its junction with Leslie Rise to its junction with Boswell Road; Boswell Road from its junction with Lower Westwood Road for its entire length; and Hebden Road from its junction with Boswell Road for its entire length.
The closures will enable Wiltshire Council contractors to carry out carriageway resurfacing, patching works, road marking and adjustment of ironworks.
No alternative route is available. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible.
It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions.
