STUDENTS at two specialist schools in Wiltshire have received new toys, games and other items to use in their classrooms following a successful charitable campaign from a local company.

Office Evolution, based in Melksham, approached their customers Larkrise School (now Silverwood School) and Fairfield Farm College in Dilton Marsh in December and asked them to create a wish list of items they would love to have in their classrooms, but couldn’t afford to purchase themselves.

Thanks to the kind generosity from local businesses, along with the office supplies company themselves match-funding every donation given, these schools have now received gift packages of their chosen items.

More than £2,200 was raised and the items purchased with these donations will not only help kit out new rooms being built in both locations, but will also update the existing ones and assist in the day-to-day running of the schools.

Natasha Reid, general manager at Office Evolution, said: “We’re so pleased the local community got on board with our idea and helped us fulfil these wish lists.

“It has been a difficult time for everyone recently, but by coming together to support groups within our local communities, we can all help spread some happiness. It was amazing to see the students’ faces light up when we started unpacking the deliveries.”

Justina Barber, school business manager at Silverwood School, said: “Everyone here would like to give a massive thank you to those businesses who donated towards our wish list- and an extra special thank you to Office Evolution for choosing to help us in the first place. These extra bits will really make a difference to the children and teachers”.

Tina Pagett, principal at Fairfield Farm College, said: “The generosity of Office Evolution and their customers has been amazing. We’re so grateful to have been chosen to be involved in this campaign and can’t wait to start using the items from our wish list that will really help us support our students”.

Office Evolution, along with the two schools, would like to thank Blomfield & Co Chartered Accountants, Kingstons Estate Agents in Bradford on Avon and Naturally Social for the donations.
